Your European vehicle is a point of pride. It took you years of work to get it, and you were never prouder than the day you drove it off the lot. It’s been a while since then, and while you’ve had your car serviced regularly, maybe you’ve let slip some of the maintenance milestones and appointments. But how do you know if your European vehicle’s brakes are in trouble? We have a few ways for you to tell for sure.
Trouble Stopping
Kind of a no-brainer, but if you are having trouble stopping your European vehicle, your brakes are in trouble. This doesn’t mean your brakes will suddenly go out one day; these problems start with slightly more force required to stop the vehicle. If you’ve noticed you have to press the brakes harder to get the car to stop, we need to take a look at those brakes.
Grinding or Squealing
Your brakes actually have a way of letting you know they need some attention. As the brake pads or shoes in your braking system wear, they tend to make squealing or grinding noises when the brakes are applied. This start with small squeaks and over time, will grow to noises you simply can’t ignore. If you’ve got noisy brakes, let our team diagnose your issue.
It’s Been A Minute
If you can’t remember your last brake service, you are probably due. Most auto repair shops suggest having your brakes looked at twice a year, so if it has been longer than that, it is time. All you need to do is make an appointment!
